Smoke coming from a mechanical room billowed out onto the platform at the Anacostia Metro station on Thursday afternoon.
After skipping the station while firefighters investigated the cause of the smoke, Metro trains are stopping at Anacostia again.
Green Line trains in both directions are delayed due to the disruption.
